Gold Bullion

What is Gold Bullion?

Gold bullion is pure gold (such as gold bars) which is sold according to weight and purity rather than an arbitrary monetary value. When special commemorative gold coins are minted, they are often given a monetary value which is in fact far lower than their worth as bullion, making gold coins a worthy form of investment. In times of economic crisis in the past, many have invested in gold in order to make a stable investment which does not devalue as fast as money.

Selling Scrap to be Refined into Gold Bullion

If you possess gold in any form, whether you have old jewelry which you would never wear which is made of solid gold, or have gold polishing or other byproducts of an occupation in which gold in some form is used, you can sell these and other items to refiners who pay money for gold and other precious metals. Gold is a comparatively easy metal to refine, and thus a large percentage of gold contained in a lot will be payable.
